Just make sure all activities are synced to first! On iOS, if you are using the in-app music player to control music from your iOS Music App and the music does not start when you start your activity, try reinstalling the app.While tracking you can bring down your music controls just by swiping down from the top of your screen.Once you've chosen your music in that app, just minimize it and open up Runkeeper again to the Start screen to start tracking with your tunes.After you select your preferred music player, you can decide if you want to use that music player " Always " or " Just Once " with the Runkeeper app.On the Music Card you can choose a playlist from Google Play Music or Spotify.
Navigate to your music app from your phone's home screen.Swipe to your iPhone Control Center (shown in second screenshot below).Open your preferred third party music app.Prefer using Pandora or another music platform? Apple allows some third party music apps to run in the background, so you can also use them simultaneously with Runkeeper.

If you’ve tried these other methods and they do not work for you, remove Spotify from your device. If your app pauses often, select Low or Normal. Choose between Low, Normal, High, and Very high. Tap Music Quality and look under the Streaming header.
To do this, open Spotify and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen. You should also ensure that Spotify is not automatically attempting to stream at a higher quality than what is capable. If this isn’t possible, lower the quality of your stream. If you are streaming music at the highest quality possible and you are not achieving the results you want, try connecting to WiFi. In many cases, 3G is not sufficient for lossless quality. These speeds need to remain at this level or higher consistently or the quality of your music will waver, often resulting in pauses.
